Create one platform
« on: February 23, 2014, 02:32:31 am »
We could gather all programmers codelain and create a platform for dota 1 and dota 2..
is a good idea to gather all existing players.
I have a platform to start tests..

The issue boils down to effort-return.

Would all the effort put into the development of a new platform really have any sizable return? Probably not.

Adding another platform will only divide the Warcraft III community further, as people abandon PvPGNs to use the new platform created. As the community grows smaller, people need to group up in order to keep it alive, not become split by yet another platform being made available.

This is really annoying on eurobattle.net.

We tried to write a script for this, but the redirection from the form is a bit weired.

However the whole thing looks exactly like rgc...

Garena, RGC, this, they all look exactly the same, what's your point? What else should it look like?

I wasnt leading to the background programming and the idea.
I mean the Interface and it seems that the options are copied.
Between garena and RGC is a diffrence, the way how the user join the games, the chat announce and further things.
But this is a nearly a 1to1 copy of rgc.

This is no offend or critic, just something i noted.

Another problem im seeing here is that your platform is as said similair to RGC but also in teh functionality. This does mean if you are using the same bot and the same function how should we be able to broadcast games to the 'one platform' ?

There a lot modifications done for RGC and they are all done there too i guess...

I modified ghost ++ to join channel and send games to my platform
Sorry, more..Just because the look is the same as rgc, does not mean that I copied.

I just wasnt sure, it look like this because the player list on the bottom right corner.

You didnt say anything about the background functionality so we could only guess.
What are the modifications you have done, so can we easily add the full platform as another realm? Or are there more changes required?

Well, as i told u before on codelain, it would be much better, if you give us one .patch file or link to ghost++ fork with your server support.

No one will use your compiled ghost++.

UP!!

I decided not to publish the source of server because of the security encryption packets and compress
More I need a team of programmers to help me on project (dota 1 and dota 2 server)
I'll release the source to just my team.

Thanks
Gustavo Cardoso.

Open source platforms are mostly more secure, because other people help to make it more secure.

But as you wish, we wont be able then to use your platform.
